This trip accomplishes four fascinating destinations – Fairy Meadows, Astor, Deosai, and Skardu – and the Karakoram Highway. Fairy Meadows is a worldwide recognized destination and accessible from the KKH in 5-6 hours. Proceeding east, the Deosai Plains are an intriguing exhibition of natural landscapes filled with a great variety of flora and fauna. Deosai Plateau is ranked among the highest plateaus in the world covering an area of around 3,000 sq at an average height of 13,500 feet (4,100m) above sea level. It makes up one of the last frontiers of natural habitat for the Himalayan brown bear, Himalayan Ibex, red fox, golden marmot, wolf, the snow leopard, over 125 resident and migratory birds, and 342 species of vegetation. The park is located between two prominent tourist destination – Astor and Skardu – and accessible from both sides
Arrive in Islamabad, assist, and transfer to the Hotel.
Drive to Chilas along the KKH (10 -12hrs).
Drive to Raikot, proceed to Tato Village in Jeeps, and walk up to Fairy Meadows.
Full day at leisure.
Day hike to Base Camp of Nanga Parbat The Killer Mountain.
Return to Raikot Bridge and proceed to Rama, Astor.
Explore Rama and walk around Rama Lake and its surroundings.
Drive to Skardu via Deosai Planes.
Full day in Skardu to explore the town.
Day excursion to Khaplu valley & Shigar valley.
AM: Transfer to the airport for flight to Islamabad, transfer to Hotel, PM: fly back home OR In case of flight cancellation drive to Chilas and then to Islamabad next day.
